Advertising Sales Executive – Job Description

We are looking for a successful, motivated, self-starting sales executive to join our team. 

The ideal candidate must be a quick learner, computer savvy, with superb verbal and written communication skills & have a minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience.  

Hours: M-F 8a-5p 

Work Remotely: Yes

Salary: Commission. Potential for a generous six figure income.

Local, high-end magazine is looking for a highly successful, experienced, motivated, self-starting Sales Executive to join our team of talented and hardworking individuals.  

Highroller Magazine is an independently owned upscale lifestyle magazine in Austin,Texas, distributing to over 10,000 upscale affluent individuals in Central Texas.  In your role as a Sales Executive, your complete focus is selling ad space to advertisers. 

Duties

  • Outreach to 20 new contacts per work day.
    • In person outreach to 5 per week.
    • Event coverage for sales 
  • All contacts logged in HubSpot program.
  • Sell ad space in a bi-monthly magazine
  • Perform cold calling to get the attention of possible clients.
  • Execute touch campaigns to potential advertisers / leads to contacts and updated in Hubspot CRM
  • Target businesses in person and solicit business.
  • Perform research on trend analyses.
  • Book sales appointments.
  • Make sales presentations.
  • Handle incoming inquiries to buy ad space.
  • Generate and describe creative, results-focused marketing concepts to a diverse client base.
  • Network with brand decision makers
  • Two mandatory weekly meetings until magazine quota is reached

Knowledge

  • Perform extensive research on clients and competitors. 
  • Use statistics in sales pitch.
  • Present different options to clients, including images, designs, and font sizes.
  • Know all advertising options.

Skill

  • Build relationships with clients.
  • Understand the needs of each client.
  • Keep abreast of changes within the publication’s demographics.
  • Focus on growing existing accounts and acquiring new clients.
